Yururi

Yururi is a family owned family run restaurant located in the northernmost village in Miyama. The restaurant itself is a classic piece of Japanese thatched architecture with over 150 years of history. Yururi is run on a reservation only basis and serve high quality cuisine to their customers. Its not unusual that they have only one booking so you might get the place to yourselves.

The owners
Leo and Yuri now run the restaurant and prepare the food although Leos parents still help out particularly looking after their grandchildren while Leo and Yuri work. 3 generations live in this wonderful property and that makes for a homely atmosphere.

The food
Yururi serve Japanese Lunch and Dinner courses although Leo the chef adds his own take on classical Japanese food so you can expect a unique culinary experience. Ingredients are almost all locally sourced in Miyama including local free range chicken, local mushrooms and vegetables. Leo also buys deer and wild boar from a local hunter and cures the meat himself. There are several courses to choose from and all will take 2 hours to complete. In traditional Japanese ryotei style each dish is brought out one at a time and presented beautifully.

Lunch starts from 3240 Yen per person and Dinner from 5400 Yen.
